The lead up to this session had been rainy and grey all week. I had a good feeling about the afternoon, so Alison and I both agreed that we should give it a shot. I drove for 2 hours in steady rain to get to this stunning location, praying all the way for the rain to let up. I tentatively checked the radar on my phone as soon as I pulled into the parking lot and it showed that the showers were meant to be clearing. The moment this lovely family pulled into the carpark, the rain miraculously subsided and the sun came out in a glorious answer to prayer!
We made the short trek down to the beach for our session and soaked in all the beauty that Bouddi’s Little Beach had to offer. It was such a relaxing evening with kids free to run and play, some quality time with mum and dad, lots of infectious laughter, and the most glorious sunset after the rain!
The kids excitement intensified when they found out that mum had brought along a change of clothes and that there were allowed to go jumping in the waves. We all raced to the shoreline filled with elation and anticipation. Even I got in on the watery fun, standing in the shallows to capture the hullabaloo. Thank you Pearce Family for allowing me to document this special time for you all to treasure!
I first met this beautiful family when little Zac was about to turn ONE. This little guy rocked up with so much personality and giggles, so it filled me with delight when his parents booked with me for his second birthday.
His second birthday session was spent racing about in the long grass of my FAV Sydney session location. I was amazed at how much he’d grown and changed in the year since I’d seen them all. It was wonderful to hear from them yet again to document their little guy’s third trip round the sun!
We decided upon a beach location for their next session and they spent a glorious winters evening blowing bubbles, racing up and down sand dunes and enjoying lots of snuggly times. Zac had changed so much from a baby into this spunky little dude that I almost didn’t recognise him when they arrived!
It’s so rewarding to see loyal clients returning each year to have their sessions – almost like catching up with an old friend!
This little family are so very special. I have been photographing their boys since I first started my business. I have photographed each of them on their first birthday and it is always such a delight to see them back again. We visit the same spot at Western Sydney’s Lizard Log so that we can easily track their family’s growth.
This time, sweet little Issac had joined the ranks and they shared a glorious afternoon as a family enjoying games, scavenger hunts and snuggles. The boys were so pleased to see me again and it was wonderful to marvel at how much the 2 older boys had grown since our last family session together.
An unseasonably warm Autumn afternoon greeted us as we ventured out into the gorgeous surrounds of the Chinese Gardens at Nurragingy Reserve. With Mariel showing off her perfect baby bump, we took a stroll through the grounds looking for the sublime golden light streaming through the trees.
Their 2 fur babies joined in for a bit of fun (after all, fur babies are family too) and showed off their excitement at becoming big brother and sister. Mariel’s beautiful maternity gown perfectly matched the glorious Autumn tones in the leaves. Such a delightful way to celebrate the anticipation of new life!
Dear little Bella came to our studio last week for her cake smash session celebrating her first year! She did not smash her cake, instead took delicate little lady-like handfuls and ate it slowly, savouring every bite.
As Bella is the only girl out of 4 children, her mamma brought along some gorgeous soft pink and floral props to incorporate into the session. We had a blast getting creative with the cake topper, floral crown and glorious wreath she’d had made. We had so much fun documenting this little lady and her first birthday celebration!
I have enjoyed yearly visits with this gorgeous bunch since we started photographing Bella when she turned one. From there, we had another visit when she turned two. For her third birthday, she was kind enough to introduce her new baby brother, and for our most recent instalment, we got to celebrate 2 birthdays – a big 4 year old and a 1 year old!
It has been so lovely to look back over past sessions with this delightful family and marvel at how much their little people have grown and changed from one session to the next!
What an afternoon it was! Tearing about in the long grass, giggling as it tickled their cheeks, enjoying some snuggly moments with mum and dad. My family sessions are aimed at fun and enjoying quality time as a family. The bonus is that I buzz around and document the magic that unfolds!
Being invited to capture multiple sessions for clients is the biggest compliment as a photographer. I first met these 2 when their first little person arrived in the world. Once their 2nd tiny human came along, they contacted me again to capture this next exciting chapter. Little William was 6 weeks old for his session, which is a fantastic age for newborns during lifestyle sessions. They are more alert and expressive, we get lots of smiles and eye contact, and their connection with parents is beautiful!
Newborn photography with a sibling is always an interesting experience, and little Harriet did not disappoint, completely stealing the show from her little brother! It was such a joy to see her again and marvel at how much she had grown since doing her newborn session almost 2 years prior. Jumping on the bed, playing games and delighting us all with her infectious laughter proved greatly entertaining!
I have always loved everything that the Camellia Gardens at Caringbah has to offer to us photographers. Ever winding path, every little pocket of greenery just hold this magical light and enchants every client I take there!
These 2 decided that they wanted something a bit different when their little guy arrived. Since they lived close to this incredible location, we decided to combine half an outdoor session with half in in-home session… and the results are amazing!
The weather was lovely and warm, making it comfortable for little Lenny. The soft morning glow added an enchanting element to their images. The sweet little newborn features of a 7 day old baby had me wanting to bottle his essence. Thankfully as a photographer, I have made time stand still and preserved those newborn characteristics to be treasured forever!
It is always a little nerve-wracking when a fellow photographer asks you to document their family. Thankfully, Shannon and her adorable family completely set me at ease and we spent a magical afternoon tearing around Lennox Bridge.
We had to split their photography session up into 2 parts because our first session there had to be shortened due to maintenance work on the bridge. Shannon wished to capture her breastfeeding journey coming to and end and the close bond shared with their baby girl at this important milestone.
Our second session was timed to coincide with little miss Abigail turning one. It’s amazing how much children can grow and change in such a short period of time, and I feel so blessed that I was able to freeze time for this special little family!
From our first conversation, I knew this session would be a special one – 2 very active boys, their parents and a dog! Nothing could have prepared me for the incredible time we had! They enjoyed games, giggles, running, tickles and lots of cuddles!
